Open Art Museum Project Second Life

Here you got an overview of my own Second life project, created in 2007/2008.
It was during the hype of Second life and Internet 3D worlds that I decided to experiment with an own gallery or so called art museum in Second Life. Last but not least it was a one man(woman ;) ) project because I did everything myself. I was planning, buidling and texturing the building of the museum. I integrated at the end a shop and a coffeebar. I was the artist, who exposed her artwork, I was the curator who decided which artwork will be shown and the way this will be done. I did the all advertisment by designing the logo, a catalogue and sustaining an OAM art blog. Fazit: The idea was wonderfull, but this kind of project needs a multiple team to be really a success and the targets or artists in these worlds must be clearly defined. What seems to be a problem of a lot of Second Life projects, outside the inworld gaming structure. The project will end february 2009. But here some images:
